Fumi Nagasaka
■ PROFILE
愛知県出身。2002年渡米。2003年から雑誌「STREET」の撮影を機にファッションフォトグラファーとなる。
2007年からDazed&Confusedなどの雑誌でファッションエディトリアル撮影を始め、その傍ら、アーティストとして写真集出版や個展開催の活動も行っている。
ファション、アート、全てにおいて、一つ一つの写真の中にあるストーリーを大切にし、見る人にメッセージを伝えられる写真家を目指しており、
最近では自らの経験を元にワークショップやアートスクールでの講習会も、アメリカ、日本で精力的に活動している。
2016年、Kahl Edition(Paris)からファースト写真集「Untitled Youth」を出版し、2018年9月には2冊目の写真集「Teenage Riot」をBywater Bros(Canada)から出版。
ニューヨーク、ブルックリン在住。

■ PROFILE
Born in Nagoya, Japan, Nagasaka moved to New York in 2001 to study English and explore North American culture.
In 2003 she started working as a freelance photographer for the Japanese cult magazine Street, and later traveled around Europe shooting documentary photographs.
Today she divides her time between commercial and creative pursuits.
She has become recognized for her inventive and honest portrayals of adolescent life that tend to go against prevailing norms found in most mainstream publications.
She enjoys teaching at art schools in US and Japan when she has time.
In 2016, Fumi has published her first book “Untitled Youth” by Kahl Editions, and her second book “Teenage Riot” was published by Bywater Bros. Editions.
Her photographs have appeared in magazines such as Dazed&Confused, AnOther, Vogue, NY Times T, 10 Men, SSAW, and others.
Fumi is currently living in Brooklyn, NY.
